I am a self-taught visual artist living and working in Switzerland. My work is process oriented and focuses on transformation and sustainability.

I am combining and pushing the ancient painting techniques of Encaustic and Fresco to the next level, and develop my abstract vocabulary by exploring natural, sustainable materials and paints. My process is intuitive, I capture the spirit and translucency of different building materials and paints, transform them to let them tell their stories on a visceral level.

I have been represented by the gallery “frontofbicycle” in Basel since 2017 until they closed in 2023. Since 2022 my work is on display at TASTE Design Inc, in Middletown, Rhode Island, USA. I am a member of the Swiss Society of Women Visual Artists (SGBK), the International Encaustic Association (IEA) and a founding member of the European Chapter of the IEA in 2022.

In Switzerland, my works were shown at various group exhibitions of frontofbicycle in Basel, and at ARTE Binningen. Internationally, I was invited to present my encaustic works at the juried shows of the International Encaustic Conference in Provincetown (“Trans” in 2018), Atlantic Gallery in New York (“Re-Building in 2020”), and Trevisan International Art Gallery in Bologna (“Little Treasures” in 2019).

Teaching Practice

Since 2019 I am teaching the techniques of Encaustic, Cold Wax and Fresco locally and internationally at the following academies. I also offer a wide range of pre-recorded and live Online Workshops and have become an R&F Artist Instructor in 2023.
